
S is for Stitch

Materials & Supplies Needed
- Print off the template below
- Sand (optional)
- Green tissue paper
- Cut into square about 2×2 inch
- Green decorative shred
- Alternative: use green tissue paper
- Elmer’s glue
- Colored pencils
- Scissors
Directions
- Print out template.
- Using colored pencils color Stitch.
- If you aren’t using sand, color a sandy beach instead.
- Using Elmer’s glue, paint on the glue at the bottom of Stitch’s feet to create a sandy beach effect.
- Pour sand onto glue. Allow a minute or two before pouring sand off paper.
- Using the green decorative shred create a hula skirt.
- You may need cut the shred in half and then fold before gluing to Stitch’s waist.
- Alternative: Use tissue paper instead. Either cut it into strips or bunch it up.
- Using the tissue paper. Ball one piece at a time then glue to head to create a head piece.
- Optional: Ball up more tissue and glue onto the top of hula skirt.
- Color in background (sun or beach scene).
- Optional: Color “Ss”.
