Cookies!

Let’s add that magical touch to all cookies! Cookies are my favorite dessert, and it’s so fun to make them Mickey shaped. Below, I’m sharing just some of my ideas and how I add Mickey to any kind of cookie. Once again, I use many different recipes, but for me, it’s more about how I…

Using the mold To add Mickey!

This is the easiest way to add Mickey to cookies. Before baking, use your mold and melt the chocolate needed for the recipe. You can do chocolate, white chocolate, peanut butter chips, butterscotch, etc. Once your cookies are fresh out of the oven, place the Mickey chocolates on top of them. You don’t actually mix them in the dough because you won’t see them, so add them to the top. Below are just a few examples of some cookies I’ve made.

Cookies with frosting or Sprinkles!

You have two options if your cookies have frosting. You can either make a Mickey with frosting on top of your cookie which I just freehand. The other option is to frost the cookie like normal then using a cookie Mickey cut out place it on top of the frosted cookie and carefully add sprinkles into the cut out by applying a little pressure.

Cookies with Fruit Mickeys!

I use my smallest Mickey cookie cutter when adding fruit to my cookies. The Mickey cutout I use is actually in this first picture, it’s about an inch in size. Apple and strawberries work best for fruit. For both, you want to cut the fruit in thin slices but for the strawberry, it’s best to use the outside of the strawberry for a better look. Once you form your cookie dough and are ready to place it in the oven, you’ll place the Mickey cut-out fruits on top of your cookie dough before placing them in the oven. Just place one or two Mickey fruits on top of the dough with a little pressure and bake as normal.

A few other ideas

CInnamon Roll Cookie

Any cookies with icing on top. You can make Mickey outlines with the icing.

M&M Cookie

Buy regular and mini sized M&Ms and once your cookies are fresh out of the oven add a Mickey to the top with one regular and two mini sized M&Ms. This is a fun easy option for festive times of the year.

Maple Pecan Crumble Cookie

Making a Mickey with the dough. This one can be a little tricky. Before baking make cookie dough like normal. Then make two balls about 1/3 the size of regular dough for ears. You will place the ears about 1/2 an inch away from the dough before baking. This one can take some trial and error, test it out! You can also shape a little more after baking with a spoon.
