Christmas Trees
Materials & Supplies Needed
- Styrofoam cones (any size you desire)
- Tissue Paper (at least 3 different colors)
- Mod Podge glue (Gloss or Matte, I prefer glossy)
- Glitter (optional)
- Yellow felt
- Elmer’s Glue
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
Directions
- Cut the tissue paper into small squares, 1 inch. (I used a Mickey punch out but squares will work just fine as well or another small shape).
- Add some mod podge into a small bowl and mix in a little glitter to the mixture if you’d like a little sparkle.
- With the paintbrush start painting an area of the cone with the glue mixture. You will want to start with a small portion so it doesn’t dry up on you.
- Once you paint a spot with glue, gently place a tissue paper on top of it.
- Then gently paint more of the glue mixture on top of the tissue ensuring that you got all the corners and the tissue down.
- The glue will dry clear.
- Continue painting more of the glue mixture then placing tissues on top until the full is covered.
- Don’t do the bottom
- Overlapping little bits of tissue paper looks great.
- Once done check again by painting more of the mixture if any of the tissue paper isn’t lying flat.
- Allow time to dry.
- Cut out a star using the yellow felt. Then glue onto the top.
- With a sharpie write your name and year on the bottom.
